Demand that Acadia Realty Develops Responsibly and Provides Good Jobs in Inwood
Acadia Realty, a $2.5 billion publicly traded company, has applied to rezone 4650 Broadway in order to build a new residential building in Inwood. As residents of Washington Heights and Inwood, we believe that this project should not move forward unless Acadia commits to providing good jobs to Inwood residents. Without this commitment, Acadia is likely to repeat what it has done at its other large residential development in New York City where building service workers report being paid only $12/hour. Workers at any new building in Inwood deserve better.
We demand that Acadia commit to paying the prevailing wage to building service workers at 4560 Broadway.
