New York, NY —In response to remarks made on immigration by former Secretary of State and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, 32BJ SEIU President Héctor J. Figueroa issued the following statement:

“Hilary Clinton is wise to take the lead on her commitment to make commonsense immigration reform a reality, if elected President. She understands that we have an economic and a moral obligation to create a ‘full and equal path to citizenship’ and that it’s in our nation’s best interest.”

With more than 145,000 members, including 70,000 in New York City, 32BJ is the largest property service workers union in the country.
